The way forward Nigeria

Mr. President, there is no need to be pretentious or vaingloriously impetuous. The jury is still out. History would definitely judge you as either a savior or a taunter captor of the Nigerian people.
You have fought corruption like no other leaders in the history of Nigeria. For that bravo and congratulation but you were not elected as a single issue president. The economy is in distress and if your advisers are not telling you the truth, I will as a concerned citizen. Things are bad for everyone rich and poor but are worst for the poor.

Please stop this chest beating charade about fighting corruption. Every politician in Nigeria is corrupt. Therefore, corruption is not synonymous to PDP alone. In fact, every Nigerian is corrupt. The bus conductor who keeps some of the money for himself is corrupt. The clerk at the airport who asked for gratitude is corrupt and the husband who sleeps with his secretary at the office is corrupt. Our society is built on a corrupt foundation. Everyone is trying to live beyond their means.

In order to make my point, I will share a story about a good friend of mine who lives in Abuja. Despite that he has his own business, a thriving business in one of the best areas in Abuja. His wife a medical doctor and in any society they would be considered an upper middle class. This friend of mine called last week and said his selling the business and they would be relocating in the U.S. They left U.S. ten years ago with their children.

Mr. President, if this family is checking out because of economic hardship, what hope if any awaits the poor. Your currency policy and lack of economic policy is killing the nation. It does not matter what Jonathan did, you are the President now. If he was doing great, Nigerians would have reelected him. The buck stops at your desk now and not Jonathan's. Whatever happens to Nigeria now whether good or bad is on your watch and not Jonathan's. Please stop the blame game, roll up your sleeves and find solutions to the people's problems....This is your rein, your time, your presidency and your legacy and it is no longer that of Jonathan and PDP.
